Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD)

Also known as peripheral artery disease, PVD is a common circulatory problem occurred due to a narrowing of arteries that causes reduced blood flow to limbs.

PVD causes blood vessels outside the heart and brain to contract, block, or spasm. It can happen in arteries or veins and brings pain and fatigue, often in the legs. Though pain usually improves with rest, PVD needs medical attention for multiple reasons. PVD also affects the vessels that supply blood and oxygen to arms, kidneys, stomach, and intestines. Functional and organic are two main types of PVD.

Dr. Hiten Patel is an experienced vascular specialist in Vadodara for treating peripheral vascular disease (PVD).
