Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) falls out due to compression, injury, or irritation in the blood vessels or arteries located in the area from the lower neck and upper chest.
The signs and symptoms of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome are usually seen on the neck, shoulder, and arm pain and nerves of the affected area. TOS causes numbness in the affected area as it compresses the blood flow through blood vessels. Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Venous Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, and Arterial Thoracic Outlet Syndrome are types of TOS.
